SlurryBox™ & SludgeBox™

The SlurryBox™ & SludgeBox™  are onsite sludge/slurry collection and dewatering systems (polymer dosing or cyclone pre-treatment are optional).

General Product Information

Slurry & sludge can come in enormous varieties of particle size, aggregation, distribution, cohesiveness, flow characteristics, sedimentation rates and specific gravity. The SlurryBox™ & SludgeBox™ are a simple yet specialised, heavy duty filter container which allows for the collection, retention and initial dewatering of pumped slurries/sludges. Sedimentation takes place under the effects of gravity and time. Solids are retained by a 700 micron screen. Different materials may or may not required additional processes such as polymer dosing and / or cyclone pre-treatment.

The unit consists of a closed container, equipped inside with filtration screens along the two sides and a filtration screen down the centre. The filtration screens retain the sediments allowing the water to drain outside via internal drains and out through discharge valves.

The rear of the container is equipped with a full width door, controlled by a hydraulically assisted locking mechanism, through which dewatered sediments is emptied.

The front of the container is equipped with a filler pipe through the container is charged with pumped sediments.

Access to the container top is via a ladder and the latest technology in rail mounted personal fall restraint systems, to allow safe access and inspection of the dewatering sediments.
