Cargill Australia is a regular
user of SludgeRats. With continual production
of solids through normal operations, wastewater
lagoons can become overloaded with sludge. Cargill
have found that the SludgeRat easily allows the
environmental management teams to better meet
the operations on a continual basis rather than
intermittent desludging activities.
Nickel Tailings
SlurryRat in operation at
the Murrin Murrin Mine site, Western Australia.
A critical pond in the process water stream for
the site needed the sediment removed due to being
overfull. The SlurryRat was installed and with
some site specific modifications the unit was
easily operated by onsite staff. The sediment
was removed and the process water free to flow
again.
Tarong Energy
Managing the flyash levels
in a process pond at Queenslands largest powerstation
became critical during the separation of the flyash
and other byproducts. The SlurryRat at Tarong
enables operations to continue without the need
for another thickener to be built and a reduction
in polymer use.
