Founded in 2002 by Ian Nielsen, UAT Pty Ltd has rapidly grown into a company attracting global interest and investment. The company has developed a number of patented products including the popular SludgeRat®, AirRat®, SlurryRat® and SubRat®.

The dedicated UAT team services the needs of large and small businesses across a diverse range of industries. The company itself is directed by an experienced board, bringing a combined knowledge of managerial and professional global experience.

IAN NIELSEN

Ian Nielsen

 Ian Nielsen has more than 25 years extensive background in Mining and Aquatic Resource Management primarily in dredging and sludge removal equipment and processing.  Ian has managed many successful & nationally acclaimed plant treatment projects, incorporating the development and design of the UAT SlurryRat® unit. Ian specialises in innovative sludge and slurry removal systems which are sensitive to project infrastructure and environmental impacts.

RHYS RICHARDS

Rhys Richards

 Rhys Richards is a qualified mechanical engineer with 25 years experience in waste equipment design and manufacturing. Rhys provides senior management support to UAT staff on contract design and implementation. He also coordinates access to co-directed/owned companies for expertise, services & facilities, and provides assistance with UAT’s strategic planning and management, senior staff selection, appointment, training and remuneration. Rhys is responsible for Major Project tendering, planning, costing, attainment and implementation.
